SYMPA is an electronic mailing-list manager that automates list management functions such as subscriptions, moderation, and archive management. The term "list" used here is equivalent to the term "group" used elsewhere in NPOGroups. Any of the following commands should be sent to sympa@npogroups.org for a group with an address at this domain, or else to sympa@lists.yourdomain.org for a group with an address in the custom domain "lists.yourdomain.org". The command can appear in the subject or in the body of the message, and you can put multiple commands in a message, with one command per line. For subscribe and unsubscribe requests, there is also an alternative method using the special command addresses groupname-subscribe@listdomain.org and groupname-unsubscribe@listdomain.org (with listdomain.org being either npogroups.org or lists.yourdomain.org), as described below. Available commands are: HELp * This help file INFO * Information about a list LISts * Directory of lists managed on this node REView listname * Displays the subscribers to listname WHICH * Displays which lists you are subscribed to SUBscribe listname GECOS * To subscribe or to confirm a subscription to listname, GECOS is an optional information about subscriber (full name, organization, etc.). UNSubscribe listname EMAIL * To quit listname. EMAIL is an optional email address, useful if different from your "From:" address.
